The Amble

Metals, Roofing, Waterproofing

Steamboat Springs has always moved at its own pace — a genuine Western amble that celebrates community, connection, and the outdoors. Fittingly, The Amble embraces that same spirit as a new, all-electric residential community located at the base of the redeveloped Steamboat Ski Resort.

Douglass Colony Group played a key role in bringing this modern mountain retreat to life, delivering comprehensive roofing, waterproofing, metals, and maintenance solutions for the 42-residence development. The team installed asphalt shingles, snow guards, and EPDM ballast roofing systems, along with hot fluid-applied waterproofing in a split-slab application to protect the structure from Colorado’s challenging freeze-thaw conditions. Additional work included custom sheet metal fabrication and integration of a snowmelt system to enhance safety and longevity.

By combining craftsmanship, technical expertise, and attention to detail, Douglass Colony ensured The Amble’s design vision and performance standards were seamlessly aligned—helping establish this new community as a cornerstone of Steamboat’s evolving mountain base experience.
