SGI-USA
The SGI-USA project demanded precision, craftsmanship, and uncompromising attention to detail across every scope of work. Douglass Colony Group self-performed 100% of the installation, including 12,450 square feet of JM TPO fleeceback roofing, 2,800 square feet of porcelain wall panels, 4,100 square feet of Longboard plank panels, and 4,800 square feet of Berridge L soffit panels.
A defining challenge was the porcelain panel system. Each panel was manufactured to size in Spain and shipped directly to the site, requiring delicate handling and exact installation. Despite DCG’s best efforts, a few panels cracked, necessitating field fabrication from full-size material sheets to maintain schedule and quality. To ensure excellence, a quality representative traveled from Spain to verify installation.
The project’s small scale and complete visibility from ground level meant every exterior finish had to be executed to perfection. Close coordination with the general contractor allowed DCG exclusive access to elevations, streamlining productivity and ensuring detail precision. With 5,653 safe labor hours and zero incidents, DCG delivered a technically demanding, high-visibility project with superior quality results.
