Roofing

Douglass Colony Group completed a roofing system replacement for a Kroger Distribution Center in 2025, covering an area of 1,846 square feet. The project involved removing the existing EPDM ballasted roofing system and replacing it with a durable Elevate 60mil EPDM membrane. This upgrade significantly improved the building’s weather resistance and long-term performance. In addition to the membrane replacement, Douglass Colony installed new roof-related metal flashings, including coping and counter flashings, fabricated from Elevate 24-gauge sheet metal and custom-bent for a secure, watertight fit.

The scope also included replacing outdated skylights to improve natural lighting and efficiency inside the facility. For added functionality and safety, 2×2 concrete pavers were installed to create practical rooftop walkways for maintenance access. This project exemplifies Douglass Colony Group’s expertise in delivering high-quality roofing solutions for complex commercial facilities. The use of premium Elevate materials and thoughtful design enhancements ensured a durable and low-maintenance result, tailored to meet the operational demands of a high-traffic distribution center.
