Aims Community College Welcome Center

Aims Community College in Greeley Colorado spent years gathering student and faculty input, and planning their new Welcome Center, the new home for student services at Aims. Importantly, the new building also represents both the first and final steps of each student’s journey at the school — it’s the place where each student registers for the school as well as where they walk at graduation. 

Douglass Colony was excited at the prospect of helping Aims realize their vision for this building that would become one of the cornerstones of the college. Our team handled the majority of the building’s exterior to ensure it wasn’t just set up to last a long time, but to match the school’s and architect’s vision as well. 

Our team began the project by installing TPO membrane roofing as well as standing seam metal roofing. After that, we installed metal wall panels and waterproofed the roof and walls. Once everything was sealed and protected, we constructed a full paver deck on the second story plaza before finally installing 2,500 sq. ft. of ACM panels on walls and columns. 

Aims Community College was a fantastic partner to work with throughout the project and helping them bring their vision to life was incredibly rewarding. We also partnered with Fransen Pittman, Firestone Building Products, Alcoa, American Hydrotech, Morin Corp. and Ahern Rentals. 

With its enormous auditorium, ballroom, conference spaces, and outdoor patios with Front Range views we know the next generation of students will get tremendous value out of the project.
