Successful Commercial Roofing Projects In Colorado
We’ve made our mark on buildings and developments throughout Colorado. From solar to FRAMECAD, and of course commercial roofing. Most of our projects involve some form of roofing development, maintenance, or renovation. Our years of experience and robust project portfolio make us one of the best in the business here in Colorado. But what does a completed, successful commercial roofing project actually look like?
Let’s dig into some of our latest work and talk about how our expertise has made an impact on these properties.
Common Materials
Before we get into the specific projects, let’s chat about some of the lingo you may see us often use. For one, we are loyal and dedicated to the materials we’ve used for years. There are several manufacturers that we work with to provide our clients with the best materials possible to ensure a long-lasting, durable roof system, or otherwise.
Some materials are:
- American Hydrotech Waterproofing Systems
- Wausau Estate Series Pavers
- Elevate Membrane Products
- Drexel Metals
- Carlisle Products
- AVM Waterproofing Products
- Pure + Freeform Metal
- & So Many More…
The Importance of a Well-Constructed Finished Product
- Value – We are saving our clients money by ensuring their roof lives and stays strong throughout the years. With better insulation and waterproofing, we are also helping increase the energy efficiency of the building.
- Compliance – We’re a part of the care and creation of Colorado’s skyline and community growth, we have a duty to ensure that all the buildings we work on are in compliance with city and state regulations. A well-constructed finished product will adhere to those guidelines and continue to support a prosperous Colorado.
- Durability & Longevity – Value is the main point here, but so is the health and safety of the building. By carefully constructing a commercial roof, the final product will withstand the test of time and the test of weather out here in Colorado.
- Reputation – We’re talking about both the reputation of the company or community within the building, but also our own reputation. Successful commercial roof construction helps us continue to live up to our legacy and name and be selected for projects in the future.
Douglas County Library
Douglas County Library is a well-loved library in the Castle Rock community and stands as a pillar of togetherness for all those who visit, learn, play, and work there. The building itself was reconstructed to not only house the library collection but also the administrative offices and the Archives & Local History department. A lot of important information and people, all under one roof.
We were pulled in to install a new EPDM Roof System as well as install Large Format Flat Seam Metal wall panels for aesthetics to match the surrounding environment. This 30,000 sq. ft. project is a testament to not only our abilities but also our design and craftsmanship expertise. We rusted the wall panels ourselves and created a beautiful building well-protected from the natural elements.

Molson Coors G150
At all times we are just one part of a larger picture, this is especially true for the Molson Coors project. The project sought to modernize the Coors Brewery and provide more stability and durability to the building for years to come. Douglass Colony had a huge hand in the success of this project, specifically regarding the roofing and waterproofing on and around the fermentation tanks.
At the end of the project, we installed 149,242 sq. ft. of 80 mil fleece black Elevate TPO roofing membrane across 16 distinct roof deck areas — as we said, a massive project.
This project is a testament to our drive, dedication, innovation, and problem-solving skills. We were part of a hugely talented team of companies working together to strengthen Coors’s stature as a leader in responsible brewing.

And a huge shoutout to our team who won several awards for this project after its completion.
United States Air Force Academy Falcon Stadium
We’ve had our hand in several projects for the United States Air Force Academy, but this is one of the most successful and impressive, having won a few awards for the craftsmanship involved. We played a key role in the modernization of the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium.
The project itself faced tight deadlines, demanding precision, and advanced solutions from all parties involved. We were committed to providing meticulous roof installation, custom metal work, and the use of cutting-edge technologies. We cut no corners to ensure the final project reflects the caliber of the United States Air Force.
We had to adapt to tough challenges including working on a secure military base and managing the ever-changing weather in Colorado. Our ability to develop multi-tiered scheduling strategies allowed us to stay on track, keep everyone in line, and be ready for the next football season.
The modernization of Falcon Stadium is a prime example of our dedication to quality and innovation, setting a new benchmark for construction excellence.

One River North
Our work on One River North takes the cake for projects that ‘shape Denver’s skyline.’ Driving along 70 you can truly take in the beauty and vision of One River North and the months and months of work that went into it. The building is meant to mimic the diverse topography of Colorado’s landscape and bring the Rocky Mountains into the city. With the help of MAX Architects and Saunders Construction, we did just that — brought the Rocky Mountains to RiNo.
We contributed to over 50,000 sq. ft. of open-air amenities, including a pool, spa, pet lawn, and multiple gardens. Our fingerprints are all over this project, and we couldn’t be more proud of the final product. Though it will take a few years for the greenery to show through, the building is a testament to our ability to take on unique, complex, and difficult projects with successful results.
The building is residential and has already started the leasing process. We had a hand in building a unique part of Denver and an amazing place for people to grow their lives.

What Is Successful At The End of the Day?
‘Successful’ can mean a lot of things. Getting the project done? That’s a feat in and of itself. Getting the project done well? A whole other feat. Impacting those who will be interacting with the building for years to come? That’s the real measure. We build commercial roofs to last. We build them to protect the rest of the building. We build them for aesthetic reasons. And we build them to have an impact on the people who are under them.
Each of these projects, as well as the many other projects we’ve worked on recently and throughout the years, are important pieces of Colorado’s story.
We’re proud of the work we’ve done and look forward to more.
