Davita World Headquarters
Located in Denver, Colorado off the 16th Street Mall and adjacent to the Millennium Bridge, the 14-story Davita building doesn’t just provide life-saving kidney dialysis services, they provide a sanctuary for employees to enjoy. This 500,000 square foot office building and parking garage houses 950 “teammates” (as referred to by Davita leadership) and serves to act as a “home away from home.” To further enhance the sense of community and promote fresh air access for employees, Davita features multiple rooftop terraces including a 6,000 square-foot terrace that features trees, outdoor dining, a fire pit, spaces for employees to plant herbs for the kitchen and comfortable seating for 335 people. Davita encourages use of these rooftop spaces for meetings, lunches, or a simple escape from the office setting to enjoy sunshine, fresh air and unobstructed mountain views of Pikes Peak and Long’s Peak.

Douglass Colony is focused on providing “green” options for the Denver community and this project really stands out in terms of capabilities performed to provide eco-friendly options to enhance employee health. As a result of Douglass Colony’s work and other measures taken, Davita World Headquarters was awarded a LEED Gold certification and is a marque project for sky rises nationwide.
